How do you experience God?

I find the presence of God in each beat of my heart.  I feel the presence of God with each ebb of the ocean.  I experienced God after eating mushrooms.

God does not seem, to me, to dwell in any specific building that I've ever discovered.  God does not reside, for me, in books.  God dwells in a region of my mind that I can never hope to understand or fully discover.

God speaks to me in silly voices.  God says things that are off the wall all of the time.  I have to tune out the silliness and then suddenly a flash of brilliance will pop off.
It's God checking to see if I'm still listening.
God doesn't care what I call him.
God and I are pretty tight.
And that's how I experience God.

How do you experience God?

I experience God in my children and grandchildren's laughter! I experience God in the death of the people I love. I feel God's closeness most intensely when my emotions are raw either with laughter or with sorrow.
